Benefits of membership in Lambda Chi Alpha

Associate Membership
Lambda Chi Alpha was the first fraternity to abolish pledges when associate membership replaced pledging in 1972. Since that time, associate members have had full and equal rights in the chapter, including voting privileges and the ability to hold office, attend all meetings and functions, and wear the letters and regalia of the Fraternity. The Fraternity replaced pledge education with fraternity education, which dictates ongoing education for all members throughout their university years. New members are integrated immediately into the chapter. A big brother is assigned to each new member, and he teaches the essentials of chapter operations to the new member.

Brotherhood
In a very real sense, our Fraternity creates a family relationship among its members. It aims to bring together a group of young men who will be friendly, loyal, and helpful to one another during some of the best years of their lives-the college years. Thus Lambda Chi Alpha offers its members the nearest possible equivalent to home that can be found on the college campus, and these close ties often bind men in friendships for life.

Networking
Lambda Chi Alpha has initiated over 250,000 brothers whose careers have taken them all over the globe. Take a closer look into the alumni directory and you will discover a vast network of brothers in countless fields that you will automatically have a connection with. Imagine the benefits of walking into an interview where the person sitting across the table from you is a brother in the fraternity.

Personal Growth
Our fraternity has grown immensely over the last 100 years and much of this is due to the Seven Core Values that our foundation is built upon. These values, Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Service & Stewardship, Honor, Integrity and Personal Courage. We pride ourselves in the implementation of these values in our daily lives and as a new member of Lambda Chi Alpha, you will be exposed to what these values mean to us. Our goal is to grow as men within the bond of our fraternity, hence our open motto "Vir Quisque Vir" which translated means "Every Man a Man."
